Care of Students

Each student is a part of a form tutor group of 20-25 students. The form tutor sees the group in the morning and afternoon registration and for extended tutorial time. The form tutor is an important person and will deal with problems, share concerns and celebrate achievements with their students.

The form tutor normally stays with the same group through years 7 – 11. The head of year works with the form tutors and is often the first point of communication for parents.

All students have a school planner which is an important book containing information, personal records, contact between home and school. The planner also contains merit stickers which are awarded during the year for excellence, effort and contributions to school. We are keen to reward students for their efforts. These merit stickers lead to prizes at award evenings.
